My daily life: I have just moved to Northern Norway after living in Greenland for almost 1.5, where I have worked as a nurse in the Trauma / Emergency Room.
My desire to fish flourished in Greenland, as this is part of the cultural and traditional way of life in Greenland. Now I work as a freelance nurse here in northern Norway, which gives me great freedom to get on the water and fish.
I have just returned from Finnmarken where I have given a helping hand in these Corona times.
In my free time I love fishing from the boat, speardiving, and from land.
Fishing expectations: The cod fishery at the end of the winter up here in northern Norway is said to be gold - so I look forward to the start of next year, where I expect to beat my PB in cod of 10 kg. Otherwise, I go after the queen of the ocean floor, the Halibut. My PB is now 70 cm but I expect to break this record in the near future.
I am a fishing-happy Dane who lives north of the Arctic Circle together with my lovely swedish fish-enthusiast, Johan Mikkelsen. We love the Arctic fishing, pipe tobacco and the white landscape of winter. Living in the wilderness, catching your own food and living by nature in the most environmentally, friendly way is a huge freedom. Every time I go on a fishing adventure, I bring my pipe, which over the years has become part of my character. The Barracudas are for wild and strong women who love fishing - that's why I'm proud to be part of the team!
Wish you all the best. Anne
